On a side note, I was going to write a long post for Thanksgiving on thankfulness and what I'm thankful for. That fizzled out as I was A) Working B) Trying and failing to decorate for Christmas and C) Just plain lazy. Sooooo........just know, I am a thankful girl. For everything. All of it. :)
Ok, back on target........How did I spend my weekend? Well, I'm going to attempt to show you in pictures. My picture taking skills aren't good.....and I'm a maniac with the flash on a camera, so please pay no attention to the poor picture quality. :)
What could possibly be better in the middle of Christmas decorating than a three-way fight? Now fights are not an uncommon occurence at my house. But something about fighting when I have BREAKABLE christmas stuff scattered everywhere makes me especially irritated.
Ahhh....a Thanksgiving nap. And really....what mom isn't thankful when her kids take a nap. Hank and Lily.....there are no words for the chaos they cause in a days time. This? Was probably my only quiet moment all weekend. Bliss. Pure bliss.
My sweet boy, Oscar. He is my good one. Er, well...until the Christmas decor comes out, that is. He has been into everything all weekend long. And if he continues to chew on my tree, I may have his teeth removed....
Lily and Oscar.....mortal enemies, brother and sister, best friends. Again, I'm always happy when they are down for a nap. :)
I staggered out of bed this morning....wandered into the den. And what did I find? A 75 pound husky sprawled out on the loveseat, of course. Now...he knows better. And this isn't something that happens often.....which is why I had to take a picture. When I told him to get down, he just wagged his tail without changing position. And I walked off shaking my head in disbelief and disgust. There are some battles that I will just never win. And at the time, getting Dt Coke in my system seemed more important.
AND FINALLY...........
My tree. Lights working. Decorating complete. And what do I hear? My husband fussing because I have too many ornaments and too much "bling" on it. Well, I happen to like bling. I like any and everything that glitters and shines. And I like ornaments. So this is my tree. Exactly like I want it. And if he don't like....he can leave :).
